would seem to suggest the bus station will open on 9th April.

On my previous visit to Chester I thought the Kassel kerbs in Gorse Stacks were a single line, but are now definitely saw-tooth. On the other hand they seemed to have lots of work to do at the top of Frodsham Street.
Drivers keep telling passengers that the buses can not get around due to how tight it is so I don't know how Arriva plan on operating services unless they are only going to use the 2 outside stands on Gore Stacks where the old bus stops were.

I don't know how they can be telling passengers that when it's not even open! If national express can get coach round the same curve on a dummy run set up at the Wrexham road park and ride then surely an arriva driver can

To be honest he whole thing is a joke, it's not the first time the opening has been pushed back, Cheshire west really need to ask questions
'Dummy run'..... Also I would guess that NatEx would probably best suit the outside stands as the inside just make no sense at all for NatEx. They need outside and I guess layover will be in Little roodee now as 45 minute breaks wouldn't be possible. Also at around 7.30ish there are 2 services planned in stand which will not work when only 1 stand could possibly be allocated to coaches.

Reported in the Chronicle last year (Link for article below) the contractor set a mock up of the new bus station with the layout and used a national express coach to identify any problems for which none was found, so my point is if a coach driver can do it why can't Arriva's drivers

Yeah a mock up, its not an actual coach is it however, i've always thought the same myself at the location they're building it would seem like it would be very tight considering the area they are building in is not that large when you take Stands, Buildings, Junctions etc into consideration but either way i do know when the Bus Station is complete Sapphire Service 1 from Wrexham will be serving it Smile
When you do computer modeling all the buses run to time , in real time that isnt always the case and you could end up with buses stacking up for bus stops as happens at Birkenhead Bus Station at times , it happened so much at that place more stops where required.

At Birkenhead Bus Station Stop 5 is next to unusable due to the curve in the bus station , lets hope this has not happened here .
A Wrightbus Pulsar II was spotted at Manor Lane depot earlier this afternoon, was either registered MX09LXV or MX09LXW.
