Full Version: Arriva Buses Wales - Chester Depot

I think I just saw the Dart on the X4, about half an hour ago I saw one of the St Helens cadets on the X4 going abnormally slow on the A55, are these 2 events connected?
3, 4, 10s, 11A, x4 all have timing changes from April. 12 shrunk to Wepre - Broughton only (reduction of 2 buses i make it). Not looking good for Arriva Chester lately with the contract losses and now reduction on the 12. There will be no need for Chester depot soon. 10As are a waste of time with the 11s running the same route practically, just slightly different spec. I would move the 10s to via Broughton and move 11s down Sealand Road. 10A is useless really now. Only 10 minutes quicker than the 11. 3 is on its way out as it is. Only blacons and 4/x4, 10s make any money anymore I think.

Wont be surprised if Arriva end up leaving Chester eventually if this carries on I guess 849 and 2728 will be withdrawn around that date if the PVR is reduced speaking of which is 2728 still being used like 849 is as I saw that on the 1 when I was on the way to Wrexham the other day I went on it just after last Christmas it seemed in good condition and it ran well I've still yet to go on 2728 but I've heard it's still running really well

The routes they have left are profitable though. The 12 is being withdrawn soon, you can tell. They are doing the same as what they did with the 21, withdraw it to half the route then complain not enough people are using the bus. I think they will end up diverting the just along the main road and saying that is the replacement or something like that.

Route 10 seems to have it's fair share but can be a little quiet at times.
Blacons are obviously money makers
82s I don't think make much difference. I think they would just as easily move to Winsford just Chester was the cheaper of the 2 depots to run it from.
3s seem on their way out but maybe just surviving. Gone from half hourly to every hour 10 mins in the space of what? a year?
4/X4 must make some money with them being the quickest way into Chester from the major points.
What routes are the Solos normally on I will be after getting them first when I start on getting Chesters fleet done once I have finished with Wrexhams fleet

Mainly on the 12 and DB1/2/4.
