Just seen Optare Versa vehicle 999 on the 13. It went through the Broughton Shopping Park just a few minutes ago. Is this a transfer or just on loan?

The decline continues:
"Service 13
Service will be renumbered 3 and will be revised to operate every 30 minutes from Broughton Village Shops via Broughton Retail Park to Chester City Centre only.
Service will no longer serve Pen-yFfordd, Buckley or Mold."

I would put money on the fact that the only reason Arriva won't cut this route is because they are worried about someone trying to jump onto the Mold to Chester corridor. Broughton Village doesn't do that well for it to maintain a 30 minute service and the rest of the route is covered by other buses (4 & 11 and then the 16 around Saltney and Handbridge).

They clearly don't want it and haven't done for over a year. Death by 100 cuts.

It's no wonder people want buses to be public ran when Arriva is playing silly sods with the buses every few months trying to discourage people from travelling!

This could all change when DB have decided what they intend doing to Arriva , have heard now that Arriva's rail franchises will not be sold off in any deal , dont know how true that is .
