I thought the ex NW buses at wrexham had on hire notices?
Anybody know is it winsford or chester who's running the 84 from now on or will it be a combined effort as previous? Whoever runs it needs to desperately sort out this service, runs late by up to 40 minutes constantly.
Having frodsham st in chester currently ripped up still is causing chaos, also for some strange reason arriva have decided not to run it from the bus exchange. Speaking of which, passed the new bus station earlier this week, looking good so far & the contractors are really moving along at quite a rapid pace. Can't wait for this to open, the fact it's fully enclosed will be a godsend over the next few months, no more huddling in the bus shelters at the exchange & trying to keep out of the 40mph arctic gales that blow about up there!

I assume you mean the 82, not the 84 which is exclusively Winsford operated and at the Crewe/Nantwich end seems to run pretty well to time. Vicars Cross in the rush hour can cause delays which I imagine is one of the problems with the 82.
Yh 82, sorry long week! Vicars cross can cause problems & getting into/out of northwich in rush hour is a nightmare.
Not my experience with the 84 - I regularly see 84s running down Edleston Road in pairs.

It is interesting what's happening with the 82 -- it seems to be getting deckers frequently now, even Sapphire ones, but the passenger numbers look appropriate for something like an Optare Solo!
I think they have the deckers due to schools though.
2473 and 2713/6 are now here from Rhyl
2661 is now back on the road.
