I can recall watching him in Baz Luhrmann's 1996 film 'Romeo + Juliet' in which he played Fulgencio Capulet.
Additionally, David Trimble (The Lord Trimble), leader of the Ulster Unionist Party from 1995 to 2005, and a negotiator towards the Good Friday Agreement has died at the age of 77. He also served as the inaugural First Minister of Northern Ireland, from 1998 to 2002.
Actor Bernard Cribbins died earlier this week, aged 93.
Olivia Newton-John, star of Grease and multi-platinum selling singer has died at the age of 73.
The last leader of the Soviet Union, Mikhail Gorbachev, has died at the age of 91.
Gorbachev served as the President of the Soviet Union from March 1990 until the collapse of the USSR at the end of the following year.

Angela Lansbury, best known for her roles in ‘Murder, She Wrote’ and ‘Beauty and the Beast’ has died at the age of 96, five days shy of her 97th birthday.

Leslie Jordan, an actor, writer and singer best known for his roles in Will & Grace, and American Horror Story has died at the age of 67.
It was said that the actor reportedly suffered some kind of medical episode whilst driving through Hollywood, resulting him crashing into the side of a building.
Rapper Takeoff, best known as a member of rap group Migos has died at the age of 28.
It has been reported that he was shot and killed whilst playing dice with his uncle Quavo, also a member of Migos. The latter was not injured.

Leslie Phillips, who was best known for his roles in the Carry On and Doctor in the House series, as well as the voice of the Sorting Hat in the Harry Potter film franchise has died at the age of 98.
This leaves Jim Dale (86) as the last surviving regular from the Carry On series)

Bill Treacher, who played Arthur Fowler from EastEnders first episode (from 1985 to 1994) has died at the age of 92.
Dan McCafferty, the lead singer of Nazareth from the bands formation in 1968 until retiring from touring with the band in 2013, has died at the age of 76.
