Just about remember it with Ed Stewart, think it used to be on on a Friday.
Yeah your right it was a friday and was the gateway for us kids to the weekend away from schoolwork .

He too died of cancer at 69
Two big names gone in one week
Alan Rickman was Professor Snape in the Harry Potter Films , very good actor .
It does feel like we have lost a generation of acting and musical expertise in one fell swoop.
