As for deckers, there are some journeys that would be able to have a decker operate them due to the fact they only go the hospital.
However, we are currently buying a couple of buses to add.
How long do you have the contract for?

Ah yes, I was just thinking that it might not be worth it to swap the singles for deckers during the day due to dead mileage back to depot after the ‘peak’ services etc.
Will be interesting to see what buses end up on the route.

you will soon see when they out I guess
How’s the ticketing situation going to work on the route? From my understanding the X1 is a one-stop-shop in terms of its the only bus people need to get from their home to Liverpool and vice versa. Will Walrus cards still be used for Weeklys and other normal Arriva tickets available?

We are working with Merseytravel to try and get our ticket machines to be able to accept walrus smart cards.
As this is short notice, drivers will be instructed to accept cards.
Arriva / Mersey day and week passes will be sold on board the bus and valid on X1 and Arriva services.

How about Stagecoach staff passes?!
Good luck with X1 btw, I'm sure it'll be good!

A staff pass is a staff pass, I am a firm believer in companies accepting other bus companies passes.

Excellent, I agree with that policy also. I may come for a ride soon!
