Thanks Gordan much appreciated
It's been reported on Richard Clinnick's (RAIL assistant editor) Twitter page that the following units will be joining the Northern fleet when released from their current operators:

23x Class 150/1 (GWR and London Midland)
5x Class 156 (Abellio ScotRail)
8x Class 158/0 (Abellio ScotRail)
16x Class 170/4 (Abellio ScotRail)
12x Class 319 (TSGN)

The Class 153s, 321/9s and 322s will be leaving the fleet as well as the Class 142s, 144s and 323s
So the Northern franchise will get its first 170's then and quite a sizeable amount at that.
I would imagine that the 158s will be 158782/86/96/867-71 which were destined for Northern some years ago but "borrowed" by Scotrail and never returned.

The 158s will be the Angel Trains ones which were originally intended as going to Northern as the Scotrail agreement shows them going off-lease.

It was originally expected Northern would get up to 29 x 170s but Transport Scotland have decided Scotrail need 13 x 170s than was allowed for. Question is could Northern finish up either getting 185s or getting other trains released as a direct result of TPE releasing 22 of their 185s?

I have already listed which ones that they are.

What will TPE be replacing the 22 185s with?

TPE will be ordering 44 brand new trains to replace 22 of the 185s and all of the 350/4s
Arent they TPE looking at bi-mode trains i think as they are looking to the future with the vast majority of there network being electrified with only small parts not being electrified .
