White LED displays seem to be the norm for new deliveries for most operators now. AFAIK, the only operator that still insists on old-style roller blinds is TfL. I wonder why? Strange.
Looks like a slight change of plan then as I thought the X2 was going Gold.

White LEDs are generally clearer and easier to read from a distance, especially in the dark as there isn't any glare around the screen. Similar to the lack of glare you get from a white LED streetlight in comparison with an old amber light.
