Sorry that was unclear, it was oos - was wondering if that is the normal route taken from the Preston depot to qs Smile

Out of Service (oos), it takes a similar route to Southport as arriva's 47/48, Crosby, Formby, Ainsdale, Birkdale, through Southport to Preston. I would imagine that depending on which way it was going it either going back to/coming from Preston empty.

It was heading towards Liverpool so from Preston empty
Would have thought if running empty, going via Southport would be a longer way round, probably better down the A59 via Ormskirk.

As far as I know, some travel via the M6 and M58 from Preston to Liverpool (seen them on there in the past).
No from Liverpool, fairly sure its easier to go back to Preston via A59, tried both by car and know which I prefer. Even without taking the motorway, straight up A59 is easier. Depends on personal taste of course.
One day last week i was walking up Northway in Maghull at 5:40am to catch the first 311 from Liverpool rd north to Ormskirk and as i was going over the footbridge at the Damfeild lane junction a 2X2 branded Enviro400 went past heading towards Liverpool so it would appear that the A59 is maybe the preferred choice of route for OOS running from Preston to Liverpool.
Yesterday saw SN56AWA and SN56AWG on the X2 with regular spare bus PX12EFD also on there. The absent regular Scanias were FXK/AWY/AWZ.
Scania 15467 is the latest 2X2 to be repainted.
Gillmoss Darts 34813 and 34814 are working out of Preston- being regular performers on routes 2 and 2A Preston to Southport/Ormskirk.
