Off the top of my head, 15823. It's the new spare bus for 2X2, seeing as they haven't had a spare Scania since the service was split to 2X/X2.

I wonder if it'll gain a back-end advertisement for the services like PX58 FXK (15466) did (and still has) when it was the reserve bus for the services (obviously, before it gained branding when it was actually needed on them!)?
In theory 15823 should be out in service, with 15466 droping back to the spare bus.
Otherwise Preston may find themselves in trouble for requesting a new bus to be used solely as a spare.
15823 (PX12 EFD) Scania N230UD/ADL Enviro400 decker is on X2-SOUTHPORT again today.

Noticed it's the latest version of the Enviro400 body as its got the low-set rear number plate and four orange marker lights along the skirting.

Wonder if it'll get '2x2' branding?
There was a 12 plate Enviro 400 on the 2 Southport-Preston this afternoon, but didn't catch the fleet number though.
Optare Versa PX08 CSU on the 2X2 today. Must be a first.

At around 12:50 in Bootle, it was Southport-bound. Must be worth a photo if you can catch it Smile.

It stayed out for at least two round-trips anyway:
