Had a day out chasing the Golds on the 125 today, bits of note are 17839 is being used from Preston at the moment, 19045 was in Preston bus station so at least one remains, plus 3 Tridents seen still in service at Preston, they being 18355/18356 & 18364 (although I'm not aware if they are being moved anyway, no 181** seen though and 18156 is in the depot at Rock Ferry). '59' plate ex 125 Scania's seen on 1, 2, X2, 59 & 68 (had a trip on 15569 on the X2 as far as Southport), a report has 15563 also on the X2 today.

They're going to Gillmoss. Quite a few are already there

Customers sound more appreciative for a continued service and lower fares, than the frustration of buses turning up in 2's and even 3's. Overhearing customers patiently explain to each other that the new drivers have been drafted in from out of the area, and getting to grips with the route.

We are aware of ongoing reliability issues on service 111 and wish to reassure customers that we are trying to address these issues as soon as possible.

The latest situation is that we have devised and registered a new timetable for the service with the Traffic Commissioner's office, which we are seeking to start at short notice within the next week. This is a legal requirement and we cannot start the new timetable until this has been approved.
The new timetable will mean extra bus and driver resource being added into the route and more time given, particularly at peak times.
In the meantime, we are doing our best to keep buses running as reliably as possible, but can only apologise that matters are not up to the standards we expect and ask that customers please bear with us while we wait approval for the new timetable.
Updates will be posted here as soon as we know more.
It is nice of Stagecoach to openly come out and explain the situation as it is , we dont see enough of that these days .

I completely agree.
It is to their credit.

Passengers would be much more understanding of lots of changes if they knew why they were happening, and I think they should be given that courtesy, rather than it seeming like some all-powerful but out-of-reach gods come up with bus routes and timetables with no explanation.
