There appears to be a change of plan as I remember reading on here that some were going to Chester for the X8.

I would say yes, don't forget Preston use to have 100+ buses allocated there in the 1980's/1990's, but nowadays only about 80.

I dont think that was ever the plan, just rumour. I wonder if this means that the tridents used on the 68 will go to Gillmoss.
Does the 68 need all the Enviros from the 125, is it not a lower PVR?

According to the last fleetcard, the 68 as a PVR of 15, and the 125 as a PVR of 22.
Doesn't the Maths Work then? 22 to Chorley 15 of these go to the 68 route displacing Deckers to Gilmoss and 7 Euro 5 ALX's from Gillmoss to Manchester for Magicbus duties replacing the Ex London dualdoor stock?
I noted severe bunching on the 125 today actually 3 out of 4 vehicles i saw on a road in Bolton where on the 125
Stagecoach have been looking at land somewhere between Preston and Chorley to relocate to, unsure where and unsure if its going to happen.
