Seems odd for them to withdraw 921 as that and 922 werre supposedly being kept for a little longer as spare vehicles.

Why would it be odd to withdraw 921 specifically? They have five other 51-reg Darts, any of which would seem equally suitable for the second spare vehicle.

As i clearly specified it was stated to me that 921 and 922 were the ones being kept, not the others.

921 is terrible. I can see 920 being withdrawn as well. Forwver breaking down just like yesterday again

September Rhyl route changes:

12 Timetable changes
51 Reduced to every 30 mins with all buses operating via the roe
51B new service every 60 mins rhyl to denbigh via the business Park
52 new direct evening service between denbigh and rhyl via a525
X51 extra journeys in evening

920 is the worst of the lot imo, that or 922... 914 and 917 are good 919 is somewhere in the middle the rest aren't very good tbh, and that's coming from me, who generally likes Darts! Would have been nice if we had the Y-UJCs here instead, a much better batch of buses.
921 isn't withdrawn, it's just left the bus station on the 83

The difference between the real world and he paper world!!

On paper 921 is withdrawn but there again so is 911 at Bangor and that left Prestatyn on the 11:00 13 to Llandudno!!

Yes you did; but that doesn't really explain why it would be odd for them to change their mind. It's a question of why 921 was chosen in the first place: if (hypothetically) it was because it's in superior condition (which doesn't sound to be the case), or had recently had major components renewed or something like that, then a change of plan might be considered unexpected. But if there wasn't really that much difference between the available vehicles, and thus the original choice was essentially arbitrary, then there's no reason to be particularly surprised if it were to change. That was what I was getting at. I wasn't disputing your accurate relaying of the information you'd been given.
Seems the destinations have already been updated for the forthcoming route changes, J600 ABW (4406) was in the bus station before with 51B Rhyl on the screen. Don't think these changes happen for another few weeks though.
Planning to do the 51, X51 routes this week, i know there's a connection at Denbigh, i don't know if it's a through bus & that i can stay on the bus through Denbigh like you can do with the 11s at Holywell.
