This, by the looks of things, no newer picture since this one:

Only just been advised they were withdrawn and sold?

Thanks,

Chris.

Leyland Olympian/ECW 3998 C212 GTU has this week returned into service operating on the 1 Talacre to Pensarn although it could have been earlier but it's the first time I've noted it back out again anyway.

Brilliant!! I will be heading there on Friday, hopefully will encounter it!

Thanks for the responses!
3987, 3997,3998, 3999 were all out and about on the 1 today as well as a Dennis Dart.

Got a ride on recently returned to service 3998, the former Arriva NW&W 3122, C212 GTU from Pensarn to Talacre. The vehicle appears to have been tidied up externally looking splendid. I was quite surprised by just how good it's 'ride' was, smooth and surprisingly powerful. Clearly these vehicles are being looked after!

Also sampled 3987, the former Merseybus 0227 which again impressed me mechanically. Had many rides on this bus from its Liverpool days, the distinctive sound of it's engine really brought it all back.

Also got a ride on 3999 before a second trip on 3987.

Good loadings most of the day as well which is encouraging.
