Ah! One of two things I saw today; #20 on the 62 (but wasn't sure if it was at first!). The second: the Halton Transport recovery vehicle - which, truth be told, I have never seen before! I wonder if these two sightings were linked?
The tow truck still here?? Thats good news, as mentioned it is to be sold but I'd like a picture before it goes!
One of the new Solos has appeared in the Widnes Weekly News advertising Halton's new 26/26A service. The article says 2 vehicles have been purchased however I think the author has got a bit mixed up with the new service only requiring 2 vehicles.

Here's the Weekly News article...

It's interesting because from the photograph in the article, the livery kinda reminds me of Network Warrington's livery a little. I'm not sure why, maybe it's the red? :P
I think they maybe holding back details of the third Solo for when the new Runcorn service launches with the third Solo. Although you're probably right, just a mix up.
The link doesn't appear to work.
The new livery certainly doesn't do anything for me, the old livery looks much smarter and significantly more professional in my opinion.

I agree to an extent, the old livery is a nice functional livery and does look professional but I do think now is the time for a new image for them. It looks OK on the Solo, but I don't like the way the top half of the red is sort of squared off at the front rather than following the curve of the wing panel abit or reciprocating the shape of the red on the lower half of the bus.
A new livery, maintaining what is currently a very smart and professional image, would be nice certainly but that.... Ugh!
As I have said before, I thought the best livery Halton had was the one 34 had for the 100 years celebration - surely a variant of that would have been a good idea.
