That's another idea, the short 17s to Gemini could extend to St Helens via Burtonwood and 141. On the timetable the remaining school time 18s already extend to Burtonwood.

The population around Bold Heath is tiny. No replacement is likely unless Merseytravel chooses to find some money to fund it.

I meant Bold as in the new Bold estate where Bold power station once stood Bold Heath is where the 140 used to terminate before it was withdrawn

Oh, sorry. That is much bigger than Bold Heath, but did not seem to attract large numbers of passengers on my occasional (off-peak) bus trips that way. What would be the running time to/from St. Helens Junction, plus a loop round the estate ? About 5 minutes at a guess ? Probaly too long to be included in the 35 without disrupting the timetable.
Could the 28 or 39 include such a diversion without needing an extra bus ?
The 28 wouldn't be a problem as it's usually in the Town Centre for a good 10 minutes before departure towards Blackbrook. Time is quite tight on 39.

That’s not a bad shout actually Im surprised that the St Helens-St Helens Junction part of the 28 is still going as the 35 is the same route
Have heard Hattons are coming off the 133 in September. Presume they must have had the contract on a temporary basis from when Cumfybus had finished on it. Wonder who will get it next?

Could Stagecoach get it since Kirkby is near Gillmoss so shouldn’t be much dead mileage

Another route either withdrawn or tender lost. That's 3 buses worth (including the withdrawal of the 141 next week) as well as the 140 back in January. Seems like their operations are very much reducing. Until a few years ago, many of their routes were fairly stable with years of little or no change. These days they are chopping and changing on a regular basis.
As far as I know HTL have won the tender for the 133.
