I had heard that the leasing company wants to do some testing with the other variants of the class 350's first .

Did any of the LM fleet have to do the same testing with there variants ?

There were no variants as such. The 350/1 were a cancelled order for DC 450s.

But as such the 350/1 and 350/2 have different speed limits
That came later, they were both 100mph when new.

New 350401 was brought north yesterday from Dollands Moor to LNWR Crewe by Eurotunnels 92043.

The run was cancelled today but there is a path booked for the rest of the week.
350401 had its first outing North today to Carnforth (14th Nov).
No service north of York tomorrow due to the expected high winds.
Cancelling services in advance seems to becoming more common, but must be a tactic that works
Network Rail are going to impose speed restrictions which are going to cause there to be less capacity than there otherwise would have been north of York , don't forget not all the railway north of York is a four track railway.

Lets see if they (Network Rail ) have got it right again.
