397009 has been delivered to Manchester International Depot this afternoon, not many to come now.
397011 has been delivered to Crewe LNWR this afternoon. Only 397012 to come now and the fleet will all be on UK Metals.
The mk.5 fleet has been stopped, believed to be a problem with GSM-R problems on the driving trailer.

Yesterday I travelled on the 09.25 IET from Lime Street yesterday and before arriving at Newton-le-Willows it was announced that the doors on the last two cars would not be opened. According to the sectional appendix it should just accommodate four and clearly some of the locked doors where on the platform as people tried to use them.

I am told the Liverpool-Glasgow service will start off as dmu and as a result the 05.48 from Carlisle and the 20.12 to Oxenholme will not run north of Preston until February.
December timetable leaflets now on website.
397 just terminated at Preston on 1M97, 12.11 from Edinburgh - 397007 according to railcam.

The other two diagrams suggested, the 05.00 from Manchester cancelled due to a problem at the depot and the one starting with the 07.10 from MIA is a 350/4.
Numerous Liverpool-Newcastle-Edinburgh services cancelled in RTT from 15th December to 4th January. I'd fully expected an announcement they wouldn't run north of Newcastle because they couldn't guarantee 125 mph stock.

An 802 reported on a Newcastle-Manchester Airport turn today - I don't recall reading of any test or trial there.

The 08.11 Edinburgh-MIA is split at Newcastle until February, presumably because not enough 802s commisioned - I hadn't noticed before but the pdf north booklet on the website is dated until February and shows the trains referred to in the previous post with as headnote "from 6 Jan".
Down to two services from Liverpool to Newcastle yesterday, and no trains at all from Lime St between 14.54 and 17.56 - although the 17.24 left at 18.02 and terminated at Leeds no guard!

Sounds like Transpennine is heading for a bigger meltdown than Northern at this time.
