170301-09 are to transfer to Chiltern from May 2015. It is currently not known what will replace them.
It looks highly likely that the line between Oxenholme the Lake District and Windermere will be electrified with 25Kv Overhead wires , the expected completition date is 2017.
That makes a lot of sense, good to hear.

Hopefully Liverpool will get some through services!

What units will be used, all the 350s are taken up on the Glasgow/Edinburgh services AFAIK, or are more on order?
Dont forget it will be 2017 so there will be other units cascaded by then .

Quite possibly 319s.
There have been rumours of franchise changes to TPE which could see Blackpool North, Barrow and Windermere transfer to Northern Rail.
Barrow is the one that stands to lose the most , cant see a diesel service running beyond Preston or even Lancaster .
February 14-22 2015 will see the Liverpool - Scarborough service cutback to York with onward bus transportation to Scarborough , this is to enable the bridge over the Ouse at York to be re-decked .
I spent last night in Hull and returned to Manchester Piccadilly in a class 170. Thankfully it was a double-unit service. I couldn't help reflecting that this could be the last time as they are currently due to move to Chiltern in May. Mind you, it is rumoured that CR could sub-lease them back to FTPE as they will not be needed until the Ocford service starts next year.
Im wondering whether the units will actually keep there Class 170 designation as they will be becoming Class 168's in the Chiltern Fleet if they are sub leased back.
