They dont listen in America , whats the point of even trying to reason with an American over gun control , they seem to think its there god given right to bear arms .
Not sure about god given, but it is specifically stated in their constitution that every man has the right to bear arms.
However, in 1770's the target was the British! Now it seems to be their fellow citizens.

Yes indeed.
However, the gun lobby in the USA is very well funded and organised, and has managed to frighten innumerable federal politicians away from even tightening the limits to gun ownership.
In some southern and western states you need less paperwork to buy a semi-automatic rifle than you do to open a savings account!
That amazing sculpture in Gateshead called the Angel of the North is 15 Years old today.
It weighs approx 200 tonnes .
Its now the iconic entry to Gateshead from the South.
I thought i would stick this here in about Shearings Holidays rather than clog the thread up as it is more news rather than fleetlist .
Shearings have suspended a driver for apparently using a mobile phone whilst driving , which is illegal in this country allegedly for six minutes .

the easy way to reduce the number of cases like that is to buy a driver one of them hands free devices as if you give them one of them then they can be on the phone and it would not be iligal
Drivers of any sort of vehicle should not be using their phone whilst driving, so rather than making things easier it is simple just don't use them until you have pulled over. Of course, this is a human nature thing and some people cant resist using them. Anyway as for the driver, quite right that he is suspended and quite honestly he is a disgrace.
Its a straightforward embarrassment to Shearings Holidays , it sounds like he may have driven for the last time with the company .
