Bauer Media have announced that the St. Johns Beacon studios will be closing on Christmas Eve, with Greatest Hits Radio Breakfast to be broadcast nationally from Bauer's North West hub whilst Hits Radio Liverpool will remain broadcasting across the city. This ends 24 years of tenancy by Radio City, having moved into the tower from its original Stanley Street base in July 2000. Where Hits Radio Liverpool will be broadcast from afterwards isn't currently known.
Kemi Badenoch has emerged victorious in the race to succeed Rishi Sunak as Conservative Party leader. She is the fourth woman to lead the Tory party and the first black person to lead a British political party.
Donald Trump will succeed Joe Biden as the next President of the United States after winning more than 270 electoral college votes.

Ironically, Biden ousted Trump from the White House in 2020, but chose not to participate for reelection, instead endorsing his Vice President, Kamala Harris who ran on his behalf.

Following a last-ditch fundraiser with a deadline of exactly a month and a target of £5 million, (including a donation of £2.5 million from Home Bargains offer TJ Morris) to build a new hospice the Liverpool ECHO has confirmed that the hospice will remain in Merseyside, and additionally there are ongoing plans for the replacement hospice to be ran by a group of new trustees.

The worlds oldest living man, John Tinniswood has died aged 112. Tinniswood, of Southport was confirmed as the worlds oldest living man in April earlier this year, RIP.
Louise Haigh resigned as Transport Secretary yesterday. She has been replaced by Heidi Alexander.
