Southport and Mid-Cheshire line services to continue running at half their usual standard frequency next week but services will be booked as 4 car 150/156s instead of 2 car 150/156s.

Hazel Grove to Blackpool services will be 6 car 331s.

Clitheroe to Rochdale services will be booked as 150+153 formations.

Buxton line to get enhanced peak time service, plus services will get strengthened to be 4 car 150/156s. (Is someone in Buxton sleeping with someone in Northern's management?)

Marple routes will be a mix of 2 and 4 car 150/156s.

Liverpool to Blackpool will be a mix of 3 and 4 car trains. (No unit type specified.)
I wonder if given the current situation whether northern might consider bringing back the 319s that were put in storage.

I say that because if the distance thing is to be maintained then that would be the way to do it even if 1 coach has to be temporarily removed from the sets dropping them down to 3 cars and coupling them into 6s or leave them as 4 car sets and couple to form 8s if necessary.

Centre cars can't be removed from the 319s without sending them off for electrical rewiring.

With the number of three car 331s now available for service I very much doubt we'll be seeing any of the 319s coming out of storage

There's a fair few 331s sat doing nothing at the minute because the 319s have been deemed safer to use as less walking distance between door panels compared to 331s therefore not putting staff in contact with passengers. If all 17 operational 319s are available all will be used.

Their are actually 18 here for warm storage venturing out to Skipton every now and again. The 5 not here are 144008, 144015, 144018, 144021 and 144023 they have been stored at Heaton.
331105 is the last of the 331/1s to transfer to skipton, being used as a mess room at Blackpool north, the 331/0s are all based at allerton with 029-031 still to be delivered, unless they're bringing them in on the quiet.

144006 and 144007 have left the Keighley & Worth Valley for preservation at the Gobowen Cambrian Railway Sidings.
331030 has been out on test today.
