Saturday's 10 allocations were 4493, 4494, 4497, 4498, 4500 and 4502.

Had a go on two of the hybrids and was actually quite disappointed. They don't stack up against the EcoCitys for me in terms of ride quality and turn of speed. 4502 in particular was very poor considering how new it is, complete with a loud knocking sound downstairs and a crashy, noisy ride. 4497 was considerably better, but the upstairs CCTV camera was bashing against the front row of seats over rougher roads. It was smoother than 4502 and didn't squeak anywhere near as much. Generally, I found Stagecoach's Enviro400 hybrids to be better (both 10 and 62 plated examples).
My main gripe with the new Gemini B5 Hybrids at Bolton is that some of them seem to have problems with their destinations displays in that quite regularly they will flicker on and off for some reason, I've noticed this on a couple of them this week and its not just the front display that does it, its rear display as well.

Now First Manchester have got a earlier and full height batch of these and they don't have problems with the destination displays on theirs
One of the new B5 Hybrids have been smashed today do not know which one.
Arriva Bolton are not have any luck with the new B5s a 2nd one has crash this morning http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/n..._I.twitter
Ouch, good bit of damage there so that will be out of action for a while, wonder how it happened. However, on a more important note, hope everybody involved in the incident is ok.
Some more pics of the crash from the Manchester Gazette website:

Dont know how true but was told the first bus jumped a red light but please dont quote me on that as i dont know if thats true or not.
The on-board cameras would tell the story wouldnt they, somebody will be in trouble if that is the case, probably best not to speculate at this stage.
4499 MX13AEZ was the one. Thoughts and a speedy recovery to all involved.
I agree with the above, hope all involved are ok and any injuries aren't too serious!
Looks like a trip back to Wrightbus for 4499 however.
