a reminder there is a hybrid decker due here this coming week for drivers to get used to.

2800 returns to the road after being VOR yet again
I'd love to know why 2800 is such a problematic bus as I know Transdev at Blackburn have a few of these earlier B7s to the same design and theirs are always on the road without any problems as far as I know
i dont get it myself, think it had a major crash in its early life but i dont think that would affect it now, might just be a bad bus
Its non-standard and fitters are unlikely to have been trained on such an unusual type of bus, therefore through no fault of their own they may struggle to get the best out of the bus.
I guess your right it is a non standard vehicle in the Arriva Fleet and I think it was bought as a one off for some reason, I remember First Manchester also had a batch of them bought new especially for Commonwealth Games in 2002 and once the Commonwealth Games were over they got transferred over to First Mainline in Sheffield where the batch are still in service today
At arriva when a new type of bus comes into the fleet they tend to put them on a course in house as when i was an apprentice fitter at arriva st helens i was on the course when the volvo B10BLE + B6BLE arrived with a member of the volvo engineering team from thomas hardies who showed us round the bus and its main components with decriptions on faults and diognosis and how to remove certain parts and replace them as well as giving you information sheets on them.
It was a one off because it was an Arriva demo bus, originally at Fox County as seen here:

Speaking of Arriva demo's, what happened to their first Enviro400 and the mini Enviro200 that was at Chester for a bit?
SN56 AWZ the Enviro 200 later passed to Irvine, Law and has recently passed to Ensign for resale I think. The Enviro 400 that was at the NEC that time was never actually used in any capacity.
