Apparently, Bolton Depot aren't happy with the condition of 2670 and 2675 (hence why they haven't seen service yet) and the latter is being sent back to Green Lane Depot in due course due to having significant defects.
2998 spent its day on the 534 whilst a MAN Myllennium (possibly 2829) was on the 575/362. Also, 4179 was on the 715 this evening (19:40 out of Wigan)!
Hi pal
Can I just ask, I catch the 715 bus on 21:40 pm last night i can see 893 is on the route to wigan journey on 3 passenger half way to westhoughton town centre but other arriva bus same size as 893 was passed. it that normal bus or sometime bus mixed up or shift?
Thank you,
Martyn
For anyone who's unaware, the extra Commanders and Pulsars are at Bolton to cover for their own Pulsars undergoing conversion to Saphire specification at St Helens.

Why are Pulsars being changed to Sapphire Spec. Are they actually for Bolton or is it for somewhere else say Wales for example.

They're staying at Bolton. The 575 (Bolton - Wigan) is becoming a Sapphire route.

Well that's interesting
I don't understand why the 575 is changing to Sapphire Just seems like a bog standard route to me lol. Is it to pull customers off the 540.
It's for the 575 at Bolton which is due to 'go Sapphire'. I think it interworks with the 362 too though? If so, presumably it'll either be both routes changing over or the interworking will cease.
Edit: 507009 got there before me above.

That'll be another reason for me to choose the 715 over the 575 in the future.
