But I just wonder if something can be done by the local authority to get a replacement operator. Or, could Blackpool Transport extend one of their services?
Is this the final decision or is it open to another appeal ?

Can't see that happening as some/part of these routes were former LCC contracts.

Do the catch 22 services even do that well? On the three occasions I was in blackpool during the summer the buses I saw seemed to be carrying very few people.
I've not seen many on the Seafront 21 but as I say, the concern I have is for the Northern section of the 22 and the areas served by the 23 & 24, some parts being former LCC contracts and others being former Stagecoach routes before they closed Fleetwood Depot.

It will be interesting to see how things develop but as you say it's not good for passengers who rely on the services following the withdrawing of funding by LCC, but on the other hand if the director of catch 22 had stuck to the rules this massive black cloud wouldn't now be hanging over them.

It certainly makes the aquisition of the Versas crazy given that they must have known a final decision on the company's future was due.
I can't understand why when calling a PI the TCs don't include all companies with the same "controlling mind" thus preventing nonsenses like this and the GHA/RJ's of Wem shennanigans.

Isn't the final decision on RJs of Wem still to be made? I would imagine given the outcome here things don't look rosey for RJs but the catch 22 saga did go on and on.
RJs of Wem are in front of the TC on the 5th December, Looking at past performance i do hope they go the same way as Catch 22
Catch 22 did put out a statement on Facebook this afternoon stating that they were appealing the decision (plus one or two other bits and bobs about being cleared of some claims from 2012 and how wonderful their Versas are) but it vanished within minutes.

My personal view is that they seem to have moved on somewhat and seem to have found a useful (and productive, judging from some of the loadings) niche around Poulton and Cleveleys, so it would be a shame to see them go now.
