They could offer fares on the day. However, they cannot stop at any point within 15 (or is it 25 now?) miles of any previous/next stop; cannot stop at any point other than bus stations where they have prior permission, and cannot claim BSOG.

I'm not sure what the "blog" is telling us, it just shows two pictures, the second being of an empty bus parked on yellow lines in Albert Square.

Arh I see. So their picking up at point A in Blackpool and dropping at point B in manchester, and presumably charging a flat return fare so no registration is technically needed. Although I see the whole exercise as pointless as I can see no information about it online. I'm guessing they may have advertised it 'locally' in blackpool, possibly on thier buses working local services, but when I was in Blackpool for a weekend back in October and they seemed to be carrying fresh air compared to BT.
That would also explain why they're not serving the Trafford Centre, Manchester

On the left hand side of Chorlton Street near the junction with Whitworth Street (not at a bus stop). The driver was on board sat near the rear of the bus - presumably waiting next duty.
It's a Name changer

Unsurprising given that a good proportion of the fleet is in Catch22 livery.

As this is within 25km of Chorlton Street, this alone means it should be registered. The Chorlton Street pick up is stand A, used by Terravision as well as being a legitimate "stacking stop" and pick up for registered services to Concert venues etc. Again, as the service is not registered, they are liable to be ticketed at both these stops, and if bendis are used, there is an increased risk that they could be reported for deliberate obstruction, if passengers cannot safely board or alight legitimate services at these two stops.

What's the chances of that happening though?

Another example of someone playing at running buses and bending the rules to suit their situation and thier pocket and yet again nothing being done about it. Hopefully the service will carry fresh air!

No doubt there's an ulterior motive for the name change too!

Quite ironic they are getting a former Cardiff Bus given Catch22's present livery.
I know they're small and have had issues; but have oakwood got any DDA compliant buses they all seem 1990s... Also what's tender spec up in Blackpool in Manchester it is 15yo is oldest useable
