Have had reports today from a very reliable source (Omnibus Society North Western & Yorkshire Branch) that this company has ceased trading today. I'm sure there will be more details to follow.

Oh another operator (Classic Bus North West) where a tendering authority (Lancashire county Council) was a bit quick in cancelling some tenders then subsequently finding out that the company may have run into difficulties .
I'll have to see it return to believe it
Unfortunately the proprietor of Classic Bus North West is currently on holiday, which hardly makes the situation any better. I believe the 22 service may continue to run as this is on a separate licence of Oakwood Travel based in Liverpool.
The whole business is shady in my opinion. Its all under oakwood travel name trading as classicbus
Classic Bus goes bust

Classic Bus North West was the operating arm of Lancastrian Transport Trust who owned a selection of Blackpool Trams. More details in the Blackpool Tramways thread but enthusiasts have been wary of them after selling one of Blackpool's famous Boat Cars to a museum in America after people had put money into the trams preservation.
So catch 22 is still running hmm seems shifty
