The proposed additional Euston-Liverpool trains aren't showing, and I am surprised they haven't made any changes to the Blackpool services given the appalling loadings and huge chunks of recovery.
Reported on anotherthread that that additional EUS-LIV services will be at 0833 0933 1133 1333 and 1433 whilst LIV-EUS will be at 0909 1109 1309 1509 and 1709.

I assume that this will start from December 2019.

The WCML is one of the worst lines to plan a path on, so it doesn't surprise me when the EUS-BPN has longer dwell times at main stations and pathing time to make it fit.
They should never haven bowed to political pressure to introduce them.

Think the political nature of the Party Conferences at Blackpool was the deciding factor in the reintroduction of services once again , Blackpool is very good at marketing itself .
Virgin Trains look set to lose the West Coast franchise later this year now that DfT have disqualifies Stagecoach bids, which are apparently non-compliant in terms of pensions liabilities.

It seems unfair that DfT have decided this after the deadline for bids, meaning that Virgin cannot seek a new backer for a revised bid.
Travelled on the 0847 to Euston yesterday. At Speke Junction the train (390121) crossed to the up slow as far as Ditton Junction. Returning on the 2007 the train (390135) crossed to the Down Slow at Ditton Junction and stayed on there all the way to Wavertree Junction.

There must have been a time penalty southbound for the crossing over as the service would have been timed for staying on the fast line .

On the northbound services is there still padding in the timetable at the Lime Street end of the route or has that been gradually phased out to speed the service up.
