To be honest all of the Pendolino's should have been extended to 11 coaches but Virgin and DfT couldn't get that , so we are left with the situation where there is a mixed 9 and 11 car fleet , makes for an interesting time in Virgin Trains Control Center in times of service disruption.

1647 Lime St to Euston went via Earlestown and Picc so obviously diverting between Lime St and Crewe, but no idea why!
Today the 1528 Wigan North Western - London Euston was held on Platform 4 at Wigan for about 30 minutes due to technical reasons.

There was an incident involving a Virgin Train near Winsford yesterday afternoon
It was publicised as a line side fire - causing delays through Crewe / Warrington.

There was a southbound journey running 90 minutes late at one point.

Usual knock effects with staff out of place, cancelled on board catering etc to attempt rescue of some timetables.
Services are meeting with considerable disruption due to heavy rain flooding the tracks in the Lockerbie area this is causing delays of up to 90 minutes . Some services are being replaced by coaches to maintain some integrity in the timetable and to enable the service to probably start up in a fit state tomorrow .
