There certainly used to be. Good old TFGM sending a bus service over a weak bridge.

Does it say "expect" or "except"? There is a big difference.

Well spotted. It should have said EXCEPT haha
Early performers past my window on the 285/286 have been 1968 (330GGX) and 1970 (T3WES). Bustimes shows a number of vehicles active around the Altrincham area, but with no registration numbers to match to the fleet numbers. If the details are correct, there is a Fiat Ducato (WEZ7837 ?) working here as well. I'm still self-isolating until I have my second jab on Friday week, so I'll just let it develop....

If you're logged in to bustimes and click on edit it shows the ticket machine code so for 1965 the code is GUI 441 so based on a previous post in this thread that's one of the ex-London Enviro 200s. It shows there's pending edits so presumably someone has gone through and added all the registrations but the edit is yet to be approved.

I hope the Fiat Ducato stays on the circular routes and doesn't end up on the 288!
Majority of the ex London Enviro's and the ex Dartline Solo are out for the first time today. 3 of the 4 SB180s have been allocated to the 151 and the ex London B7TL was on the 288.
The Ducato has just done a 285/286 stint. Unfortunately the driver failed to turn up Wood Lane on the 285, so he missed out three stops, and I only saw the vehicle on the 286 coming back.

And their other came out of the depot and started by working the 16:17 Altrincham to Manchester Airport and 16:52 Manchester Airport to East Didsbury.

Is that actually big enough to meet the contractual requirements for the 288?
A second Esteem bodied Dart is into the fleet as 1973 BO55WES. New in April 2006.
Seems a small bus taking over on the 288 late afternoon is going to be a regular thing with CAZ 2625 doing the duties today. I wonder how that's going to work when the airport reopens properly, with quite a few staff using the 16:52 from the airport and 2 or 3 people might turn up with suitcases.

Also noticed it seems to be a thing that a Metrocity does some 391/392 duties (not just this week.) I thought the idea behind the 391/392 contract and the MMCs being acquired was that the contract required vehicles less than 5 years old to be used as the usual vehicles. Have Go Goodwins decided it's too complicated to use the same 3 vehicles and to switch the drivers driving the vehicles?
