175109 is OOS with fire damage so this may be causing a unit cascade, 158 covering 175 etc..

Not helped by the 158 units first responsibility being to ERTMS routes as there the only units fitted with that .

There are more than enough units to cover the Cambrian sections and 158s often substitute for 175s on Cardiff services, but I see your point...

Despite their age and appearance and the 150 is a very versatile and comfortable machine, probably the only ATW unit that can act as cover on any service besides the Cambrians..
So versatile that in the days of the RETB signalling in the past the Class 150/1 had been used .

The entire family of 150's has done sterling service for Arriva Trains Wales and its predecessor franchises .
Network Rail advise that works trains will be running on the Cambrian Coast Line from this Sunday 17/8/14 following completion of the rail part of the Bont Briwet bridge at Penrhyndeudraeth. Route learning empty stock passenger trains will be running from the following weekend 23-24/8/14 and the full passenger service will start from Monday 1/9/14 (although the new parallel road bridge will not open until later in the year).
The WAG on a Saturday usually works a Holyhead-Crewe then the 14:40 Crewe-Holyhead.

Today, due to the failure of a 150 between Chester and Crewe, 67002 (mk3 set) 82307 were put onto the 13:23 Crewe-Chester return before doing the Holyhead whilst a 158 was sent from Chester DMUD as a VSTP.
Passenger trains are now running over Bont Briwet. Trains started on 1/9/14 after two weeks of testing. According to RealTime Trains website the 2018 from Harlech to Pwllheli was the first passenger service the previous evening and the rail replacement bus service has now been stopped.
However the first passenger train was actually on Saturday 30/8/14 when the 0857 Machynlleth to Pwllheli was accidently entered in TRUST as a service to Pwllheli. This formed a 10:30 to Pwllheli and a return at 11:30. ATW then honoured this mistake.
In preparation for the second loco hauled diagram to operate between North Wales and Manchester Piccadilly 67013 has made test runs between Chester and Longsight.
67001/02/12/13 are allocated to the ATW loco hauled services.
Just a quick reminder that the new loco hauled ATW diagram is due to start on Monday, the trains due to be worked by Class 67 are as follows;

1D11 0711 Crewe - Chester
1H82 0738 Chester - Man Picc
1D34 0950 Man Picc - Holyhead
1H89 1301 Holyhead - Man Picca
1D31 1650 Man Picc - Llandudno
1K96 1934 Llandudno - Crewe
The timetable though further along the coast is now not as good as it should be , hopefully rectified for the summer months when more people travel to Llandudno , there is some gaps in the through service in the early afternoon .
Currently no service between Bidston and Wrexham, due to a broken down train, buses are replacing trains
Fairly sure the same thing happened few days ago.
