Today's 'Llandudno 158' diagram is 150260.

Re WAG up the branch.. It was a gauging run to do with an ATOC/ATW jolly up there later this year
Is it more for the Class 67 and the DVT the gauging run was for .

The Class 67 being a heavy brute there will probably be some hefty speed restrictions in places , just like the West Highland line .
Was unpleasantly suprised to find out about the rail replacement in effect between Chester and Picadilly yesterday.

The WAG VIP Special is due to run up the Ffestiniog branch this Saturday morning (28/09).

Also of interest, a FGW special is operating on Friday from Exeter to Llandudno (1Z11 via Bristol, Newport, Wrexham) bringing VIPs up for the jolly, originally planned for a Class 180, apparently will now be 158 operated.

158763 was the unit used.
A railway bridge near Llandecwyn has suffered some damage. As a result, the line between Harlech and Pwllheli has been closed while repairs are being made.

The line is expected to remain closed until at least Wednesday 20 November.

A replacement bus service is running between Harlech and Pwllheli.
A bit more news on the disruption on the Cambrian Coast Line .

Unfortunately the old wooden bridge, Pont Briwet, which carries the Cambrian Coast line near Penrhydeudraeth, is reported to have 'moved vertically', an event possibly related to construction work on the new rail/road bridge alongside.

It now seems that this work on the bridge is now more complex than first thought and there is no estimate for when normal service will resume on the line between Harlech and Pwllheli.

This might be the best time to get some engineering work on other sections of this line as well in the downtime .
Manchester Piccadilly - Llandudno services are currently terminating at Chester due to a major flood on the North Wales coast. Further deatails to follow about disruption to other services!

There was a shuttle in operation from Rhyl to the west, not sure if that is still the case today
