158831 has been extricated by low loader from Barmouth due to storm damage , the set will then be taken to Chester to be safety checked and then used on other sections of the Arriva Trains Wales network until the line is made available once again.
There is another unit that will also be needed to be extricated from Barmouth as well.
The Cambrian Coast Line seems to have had a rough time this year with problems with a bridge at Pont Briwet prior to the storm damage .
158831 & 158837 both ran from Chester to Cardiff Canton in the early hours of this morning.

Apologies, that was the plan, but a power failure at Chester PSB in the early hours meant the move was cancelled.
In other news, an ATW unit, which I believe is 175113 was involved in an incident near Shrewsbury in the early hours:

153353 in new revised dark blue livery with silver roof.
On Shrewsbury-Crewe shuttle today, just about the furthest north you will see an ATW 153 nowadays..

153323 is like it too!
150XXX Passed Sandbach at 20:00 Today, Meaning it was unusually on the 2008 from Crewe towards Cardiff, Ouch!
Noticed the 150's are often used on the longer distance routes on a Sunday
Yeah, to swap units from North Wales so they can get to Canton for maintenance or exams.

Stock shortages again today
Cardiff 'WAG' service is formed 175/0 vice 67+stock. Stock failed yesterday, has gone ECS to CF this morning and may return this evening.
150227 leading 0712 Ctr - Picc vice 158. This should stick to the Llandudno diagram after splitting on the way back, forming 1002 ex Ctr, 1145 ex LLD etc..
I dont think it would be very comfortable on a 150 after so many years in the hands of either class 158 or 175/0 or 175/1 units coming from South Wales to Manchester.
Passengers expectations have increased over the years , Arriva must have been very short of stock that day .

150227 doing the honours again today on the Llandudno diagram
175109 is OOS with fire damage so this may be causing a unit cascade, 158 covering 175 etc..
