Stagecoach Borismaster's LT252 and 253 have entered service on the 8 today, over a week early :-)
No doubt to help get Tridents out of service for Commonwealth Games prep and movement.

Plus as they're driver only, no need to wait if there's drivers trained up ready.

That as well, Trident 18201 reported at Carlisle depot en route to Scotland.
The new Wright/Volvo B5 hybrids are now operating on Metroline's route 7.

These are a rare example of a batch of new "conventional" double-deckers coming to London. What with many double-deck deliveries being LTs, we only have these Volvo B5LHs for Metroline, E400Hs and Volvo B5LH for Stagecoach, and E400Hs for Abellio.
Stagecoach also have some E40Ds and E20Ds on order.

Which route are the E20Ds for? I know the DDs are for Plumstead 122 and 472 and indirectly the 96 but I am not aware of any SD routes up for renewal except perhaps for the increased frequency on the 314, whenever that will be!
This time last year the media was awash with reports of passengers almost suffocating on the then new Borismasters because of faulty air-cooling systems. Now that summer has arrived again, I would be interested to know if the excessive heat issues are a thing of the past or if the problem is just no longer being reported.

Nope looks like its still a problem just not getting reported by mainstream (Boris supporting usually) media
