I shall be genuinely surprised if some ex-Tyne Tees Express Volvo B7TL-Geminis convert route 21, as I thought this route was due new Hybrid buses early next year.

3962/5 are going to Chester-le-Street as back-up to the B5LHs due at the end of this month.
Oh, while it makes sense for the Volvo B5LHs to have some back-up initially at least, these new buses are arriving much sooner than I expected. It means that the frequent service of ex-London Volvo B7TL-Presidents on route 21 will have been unique for 2012. Another sign that my timing of my holiday in the area was ideal!

JS Mowbray who shared the route had i rememberLight Green & White livery with Diamond brand http://www.flickr.com/photos/johnmightyc...370990820/ and http://www.flickr.com/photos/johnmightyc...370990820/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/johnmightyc...370990820/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/johnmightyc...370990820/

I'm not sure about the background of the plate, but 4840 has always had that plate, long before the "revived" Diamond brand: http://www.simplybusphotos.com/images/48...%20188.jpg

So I doubt the plate will be going anywhere soon. Here it is in a former life: http://www.simplybusphotos.com/images/70...eworth.jpg
To my knowledge 4840 had always had that plate and that series of buses used to operate the 194/294 series when in the Go North East original livery, there must be some photographs out there with 4840.
There was 2 mercs on the 99! I photoed 5279 on the service! - I will post a link later!

Also noted was 5237 on the 35, 4924 on the 61, 4935 on the 2C and 5233 on the X21
Not sure these have been reported yet but Nexus-liveried Solos 638/9 NK12 HCE/F are both in service. Both worked 353 today.
Spottings from yesterday.

NK61FEU, was on the 92.

NK05GZR has been branded 'Red Arrows'.
