We will be making the following changes to services around Sunderland from 11th November 2012:

Service 35 will continue to operate every 10 minutes Monday-Saturday daytimes, all the way through to South Shields. Every 20 minutes the service will operate as service 35 via the Royal Hospital to Low Moorsley, replacing services X36 and X37. It will also operate every 20 minutes as service 35A via Silksworth omitting the Royal Hospital to provide faster journey times to the City Centre.

Service 20 will continue to operate every 10 minutes between Durham and Sunderland only. Every 20 minutes the service will operate on its current route, and every 20 minutes as service 20A via Rainton Bridge.

Service X20 will operate at peak times only as proposed.

Service 71 will operate only between Chester-le-Street and Houghton-le-Spring as proposed. Passengers on Tunstall Road will be able to use the improved service 38 (see below).

Following the concerns raised in this consultation, there will be no changes to the route or frequency of service 61. There will only be minor timetable changes to some journeys with low passenger numbers.

Service 38 will continue to operate, on an improved 15 minute frequency Monday-Saturday daytimes. Alternate journeys will serve Tunstall Bank Estate or Esdale Estate. The service will be diverted to operate via Black Lane instead of Ryhope Green to provide access to health facilities following customer requests.

Following feedback received in this consultation, the amendments to our plans for other services mean there will be no changes to the route or frequency of service 39.

Services 2A and 2C will increase in frequency so that each service operates every 20 minutes, providing a 10 minute frequency from Penshaw to Sunderland via Chester Road.

Fast Cats service X35 will be retimed by up to 10 minutes to improve timings
We will be making the following changes to services around Houghton-le-Spring and Hetton-le-Hole from 11th November 2012:

Service 71 will operate only between Chester-le-Street and Houghton-le-Spring as planned. However, as a result of this consultation, Go North East is pleased to announce there will be no changes to Metrolink service M1. It will continue to operate every 10 minutes Monday-Saturday daytimes throughout the length of the route. This maintains a high frequency service to Houghton-le-Spring for connections to other services towards Sunderland.

Service 20 will continue to operate every 10 minutes between Durham and Sunderland only.
o
In response to the comments received during consultation, the service will operate on its current route every 20 minutes, maintaining a service through Hall Lane Estate and Gillas Lane to Durham, Houghton-le-Spring and Sunderland.
o
Alternate journeys will operate as service 20A via Rainton Bridge every 20 minutes.

Service 35 will continue to operate every 10 minutes, all the way through to South Shields.
o
Every 20 minutes, the service will operate to Low Moorsley via Hetton-le-Hole and Hetton Downs, providing an improved frequency. These 35 journeys will omit Silksworth, providing a faster journey to Sunderland Royal Hospital and City Centre. This will replace services X36 and X37.
o
Every 20 minutes, the service will operate as service 35A to Rainton Bridge. The 35A and 20A will combine to provide a service every 10 minutes between Rainton Bridge and Houghton-le-Spring. These service 35A journeys will omit Sunderland Royal Hospital, to provide a faster journey time into the City Centre.
o
Evening and Sunday journeys will continue to operate once per hour to Low Moorsley and once per hour to South Hetton.

Service X20 will continue to operate, at peak times only as proposed.

Service X35 will be retimed by up to 10 minutes to improve timings at Doxford International following customer requests.
Following our consultation, we will be making a number of changes to Washington services from 11 November 2012:

Services 2A and 2C will increase in frequency so that each service operates every 20 minutes, providing a 10 minute frequency from Penshaw to Sunderland via Chester Road

Journeys which operate only between Washington Galleries, Ayton and Birtley on service M2 will be withdrawn. A 15-minute service will operate from Heworth Interchange to Birtley via Washington Galleries and Ayton.

Service M3 will be diverted from Rickleton to serve Birtley instead of Chester le Street. Passengers can still travel to Chester le Street on Lime service 8 which operates every 30 minutes, and on Whey Aye 5-0 service 50 which also operates every 30 minutes, and will be diverted via Ayton bus link.

Service 50A will be retimed to provide better connections for employees at Waterview Park, and it will also follow the daytime route via Sulgrave.

As a result of this consultation, Go North East is pleased to announce there will be no changes to Metrolink service M1. It will continue to operate every 10 minutes Monday-Saturday daytimes throughout the length of the route

New timetables have appeared on the Simplygo.com website for changes for 11th November 2012.
When I went on Flickr to see a Hybrid, I came across a Gemini on route 10. I thought single-deckers were sufficient for this route but still.

Single deckers haven't been sufficient for a very long time! The Ten is to receive a total upgrade to brand new Volvo B9TLs in the new year.
