Great to hear Ace have got the 157 contract. Was informed by a driver last night that some Optare Solos are on the way to replace the ageing darts although 2 darts are being retained for the 214 & 216 services as theres a lot of speed bumps on these routes which the darts seem better at coping with.
Ace are operating the early 156 to st helens too.
Yep saw it this morning and Fairbrothers are continuing to run it to the end of the week.
Just been informed by a driver that Ace have two brand new long wheelbase Enviro 200s on delivery these are replacing 753/4 the two 11 reg ones. The new ones will be in service from 1 march so will be 14 plates Ace also have some second hand Optare solos arriving from the end of march as dart replacements.

And the other one is MX14 FUG.
Had a journey home on the 11 tonight. It turned up on time, so no issue with punctuality, but it was a peak hour working that left Queen Square with five people on board when every other bus was bulging. Shame.
SD.
Ace travels new Enviro 200s will be on the road from tomorrow they were having Ace Travel fleetnames applied in the depot yesterday it now appears only one of them is a long wheelbase and the other a short one the long one is earmarked for use on the new 38 Liverpool-Halewood service when it starts on 10th march.
I saw an ACE enviro200 at Carr Mill junction on the East Lancs Road yesterday evening Liverpool bound. Sure it was 760, where had that been.
Likely running from Garswood/Ashton back to depot having operated 157s.
