LiverLine had the 38 first along with the 39 (Liverpool - Lee Park)
I'm not sure why LiverLine gave up those services but MerseyRider picked up the 38 some time in 1992/93 ish. It lasted up until around late 2000 when it was withdrawn by Arriva. By then it had been renumbered to 78A as part of the April changes of that year.
I hope this proves successful for Ace and I will try and use it as much as I can
I just hope its not every hour or runs only like 10am-3pm

Might the new 38 just be a positional service for the new 264 service.
Ace do have other positional services: 47A, 55, 61 etc.
Never thought of that as a possiblity !!
Think we have another spelling error as it says shipping centre instead of shopping centre.
Hope it's more successful than the 11.

New timetable now on merseytravel website
Yeah, I note the 11 is being binned on a Saturday. Given that the reason for its demise was blamed on the bus lane withdrawal and bus lanes don't operate on a Saturday this seems strange.
Just seen one heading to town along West Derby Rd with two people on........

One journey towards Halewood is numbered 38E and terminates on arrival at Ravenscourt instead of continuing to Okell drive so this deffo looks like a positioning journey to get a bus onto the 264.
