Warrington's Own Buses
RE: WBT Network Warrington
I hope it means other services get revised as Network Warrington cancelled all their Wincham-Northwich services as a result of the GHA 45 services.

Yes, residents of Antrobus, Budworth, Wincham and Lostock Gralam might have a bit of a nasty surprise otherwise.
The last two would still be linked to Northwich via the 289 service and there is an extremely limited service on Warrington's 46 between Antrobus and Warrington, and between Antrobus and Northwich.

Surely something will have to be done about the school/college services at least.
If I was around, I might try to let these communities know myself via the community noticeboards they have in most or all of these places, but hopefully residents will find out what's going on somehow?

I think the 289 contract is up for renewal this year but it really serves too many places already for a route ran by a single bus. When it was Swans Travel it was every 2 hours 30 but someone had the idea of routing it via High Legh which means it now runs every 2 hours 45.

Getting a news story about the withdrawal in the Northwich Guardian might be the best way of letting local people know, depending what Network Warrington do in response.

Traveline is now showing that the 46 will generally continue to depart Warrington on the hour after the timetable change; it will take a 10-minute break in Northwich, then head back to Warrington, arriving at 45 minutes past the hour.
Whether there will be any changes rushed through following GHA's cancellation of their Northwich services, I don't know.

New 45/46 timetable:
http://www.networkwarrington.co.uk/asset...244179.pdf

New 10C/11(A)/12(A) timetable:
http://www.networkwarrington.co.uk/asset...244166.pdf

New 8(A/E)/9 timetable:
http://www.networkwarrington.co.uk/asset...244153.pdf

The 45 is primarily for schools/colleges.

Very interesting that the 10C/11(A)/12(A) will be taking up the slack from the withdrawn Centrelink.
Hope the dests are done well for this, else it could be really unclear what's going on, e.g. the first two 12's of the day have almost entirely dissimilar routes to each other.
So too, a couple of 12's terminate at Centre Park ... the one at 0920 might just be going back to the depot, but as for the one at 0725 ... ?

The 10C, 11(A) and 12(A) will no doubt have to interwork with other services, but it will be very interesting to see what.
(On Saturdays, they could well go 12A -> 10C -> 11A -> ? ... and they could conceivably slot in with the 29's/13's Monday-Saturday).
So the 10C gets an even longer route ... pity the poor bus-user of Appleton who has about a 35-minute journey into town when it takes 15 mins max in the car.

I've awarded myself ten points for predicting that the 8 and 10C will no longer interwork (a couple of exceptions).
10C generally no longer serves Appleton Thorn (one exception).
Kinda disappointed that the 10C (or 8) hasn't been extended to Hatton during the day, but anyway.
At least the 10-minute frequency to/from Stockton Heath is maintained, and maybe we'll even see a decker regularly operating through Centre Park on the 10C return journey which leaves town at 15:10 (passing through there around 16:15).
Also interesting to see a dupe on the 46 (short journey from Stretton in the afternoon), possibly for decker operation due to Bridgewater High?

Very interesting indeed. Are these new service changes starting the end of April?

Tbh, you're not missing much!
It can be a bit of a confusing place as everywhere looks the same, but it's not that big so hopefully shouldn't be too hard to get the hang of.

Since only certain journeys are to go via Centre Park, I'm sure it will be easy for drivers to use the wrong route by mistake unless it says whether they do or don't go through there extremely clearly on the route card.
