Spotted an Enviro200 operating on the 118 route today with route branding for the 112/114/118 services stating 'Moston to Manchester up to every 5 minutes Monday-Saturday daytime'. Should imagine we will see more buses adopting the branding soon.

Yes, it would make sense to extend this branding to other buses on this corridor. For food measure, plugging this frequency may be intended in part to encourage people to buy Stagecoach Middleton tickets and avoid First routes 88 and 89 here!

Last Saturday I rode Enviro400-MMC 10424 on route 101. As the sloped upper-deck front window is straighter than that of traditional Enviro400s, it seemed a more natural successor to President bodywork. There is also a darker blue colour there too.

It's actually due to the tightness of Broadbottom bridge. The rear overhang of a MAN wouldn't make it. It's been tried many times over the years with the bridge coming off best Smile

Capacity is also a factor as every school pupil using the service must have a seat.

When I was told about the branding of vehicles at Middleton I cringed, but actually it looks quite good. Not as bold as the branding used on the 76 and 38 vehicles.

Yes, I saw one this morning, and it does look quite good. In fact it might be a bit too subtle, as it does not leap out at you.
