Also the Driver of 19480 on Sunday was a excellent driver certainly knew how to drive a bus to a very high standard especially considering the child running around the lower deck i assume he was an ex coach driver or something.

A similar thing has happened to me about 12 months ago. I have to catch two buses to get home from work. I got on the 236 in glossop, we got to Stalybridge late, yet the driver decided to leave his cab and smoke a fag, after a couple of minutes a passenger asked why we had stopped as he had another bus to catch, the driver just gave him a dirty look, got back in his cab, turned OFF the engine and decided to roll a second cigarette. Eventually he started the engine and confined the journey. Only he decided as a protest he would drive all the way to Ashton at 5mph. As we got to the lights outside Ashton bus station the same passenger got up and asked if he could get off as his 219 was there and about to leave. The driver said no and then decided to drive into the bus station and do a full loop at of it at 5mph. When he eventually let us off he just sat there laughing to himself. Never the less the chap missed his 219 and I had a 30 min walk!

I complained to Stagecoach and got a scathing email back saying the driver had 'light headed' so decided to take a short break at Stalybridge, and that they checked the GPS for the bus and they thought he was driving at a 'sendible' speed.

If I was you I would complain, I very much doubt the driver would get sacked, at the very least a stern taking too.

Back in the day when Louise Simpson was AOM of Stockport (Now OM at Torbay) she sorted stuff out, one time I was getting on the bus with food, but the driver said not to take it onboard, I was like "fair enough" but then a person behind me was also eating and got on the bus with food, I emailed her and because I 'wasted' my money she was going to send me a voucher or a free dayrider but she found it more useful to send me a voucher for a megarider! The OM at Ashton is a tool, scuse' the language, the driver on the 330 was driving forwards as I crossed the road, he didn't stop and I ran back on the pavement whilst him giving me evils :\ All he got was a bloody FFI!

If it's the current OM at AZ your talking about I couldn't agree more, yet I'm told from a friend who works for Stagecoach that he's quite strict with the drivers and often goes out in his car making sure drivers have the correct destinations showing and arn't wearing their hi viz's in the cab etc yet dosent take a partically good view when responding to complaints - almost like we are Waisting his time.

Another issue is the way drivers drive at pedestrians. I've lost count at the number of times I've been crossing the pedestrian crossing in the bus station and the drivers just drive at me with out slowing down, yet it's funny how they stop when it's the TFGM supervisor crossing or watching.

192 hybrid 12207 MX13 FLP on the 378, 19338 on the 330 first time in a few years since a fairy light dd was on it, I've also got a pic of 12207 which will be on the web soon!

Can I please ask you lot to stop this, you are slagging off work colleagues right in my view, which is totally unacceptable and could land you in a heap of trouble. Bear in mind this topic could be viewed by anyone, including people who are not registered members. You never know, the very people you are talking about could see this.

If you have an issue with a member of staff - managers included - may I suggest you direct your complaints in the appropriate direction... i.e. to the company where they will be picked up by the relevant manager or, if appropriate, director.

Fair enough, I was only bringing up what happened to me and its only opinion but I shall stop 'slagging' off your colleagues.

Well that's modernised the 378 fleet by about 15 and a half years or so, though I did think the hybrids were for the 192 route. Angel

I do wish that Stagecoach and other companies, would stop putting route brand buses out on the wrong routes. As this only confuses the intending passengers, and puts them off travelling by bus.

In principle I agree, though I don't think there'll be too many complaints about a brand new hybrid appearing instead of a clapped out R Reg Spectra.

Traveline website now displaying timetables upto 11 April. 196 is listed as being operated by Stagecoach from 7 April 2013.

Although, sometimes what happens is that they do one route and go onto the 192, for example a 192 hybrid was on the 314 at about 07:37 then went onto the 192

RE: Stagecoach Manchester
All of Stockport depots buses don't have prices on the side for dayriders and megariders, I suspect a rise in price in the near future.
