RE: In the News
The organisers of Eurovision have concluded that it will not be possible for Ukraine to host next year's contest owing to factors related to Russia's 'special military operation' in Ukraine. This has resulted in the organisers approaching the BBC for talks in which could mean the UK (who were the runners up in the contest last month), can potentially host the song contest. According to the ECHO, Mayor Joanne Anderson is considering having the contest hosted in Liverpool, as it would 'do Ukraine justice' Unrelated, but Wikileaks founder Julian Assange will be extradited to the U.S. to face charges of espionage following the approval of the extradition by the Home Secretary. |
