RE: Arriva North West - Runcorn Depot
I'm looking for some help. On Bustimes.org, it says for trips which run to Whitehouse 'warning, do not use gas bus due to low bridge'. Which bridge is this referring to? The M56 bridge has a height sign of 11' 6'' and according to the Caetano site, the EcoCity is only 11' 3'' so a gas bus would fit.

Can anyone shed some light on this situation?

Thanks.

Are the 61 and 14’s running today? If so, has anybody seen what is running them please?

Cheers mate. How tall is that bridge? Would it be easy enough to make higher or something? I'm thinking the X30 would be good to use that part of the busway but it always used the gas buses.

No it is not easy plus the X30 as not got the space to turn onto the A56 (the junction was not built for this) https://www.google.com/maps/@53.3161331,...312!8i6656

You would have to open up that junction but that shouldn't cost too much and would be doable. It would improve links to Capita, reduce the duplication on the Expressway, stop the buses queuing as much on Chester Road between Capita and it would potentially increase passenger numbers slightly as then it might grab some passing trade off the 62. Multiple benefits to the change if the roads were changed slightly. The X30 could go down to Cadets/Pulsars only but they seem to like the gas buses on the X30.

Runcorn have borrowed ArrivaClick 1022 and 1023 from Speke for the 200 until suitable buses arrive from Southern Counties mid week.
