That's good news & thank you for the update.

Hopefully, a settlement that's beneficial to all parties has been reached.

The junction you are referring to in Bromborough is definitely a problem and my understanding is that a vehicle should not enter a junction unless the exit is empty and therefore the vehicle does not cause an obstruction On many occasions buses from both Stagecoach and Arriva (118/418 services) often block the junction off when turning right Unfortunately a lot of the problem is to do with the junction just beyond the lights that leads into the Retail Park as many drivers hog the left hand lane in Croft Avenue East to turn left at the later junction People using ASDA have no choice but to use that junction but those who are heading towards Currys,Smythes, KFC etc could just as easily use the outside lane at Croft Avenue East and go into the Retail Park from the roundabout at the back of ASDA

So there's no obligation to stop when a school crossing patrol officer (lollipop man/lady) holds thier stick out Smile

I think just the threat of industrial action had the management above Rock Ferry thinking of a solution , it would have been a real bad problem both for the travelling public as well as Merseytravel as they would require every available resource to be operating through the tunnel.

I assume Buses have gone to Gillmoss with there being little space in the depot?

I think the fullness of both Rock Ferry and Chester depots does seem to be the stumbling block these days to any further expansion of services.

Of all the depots on Merseyside only Gillmoss has the room , which could hold a reserve fleet.

RE: Stagecoach Chester & Wirral
I see on the VOSA thread that there is a timetable amendment coming up on the 3rd January , which i suppose is something to do with the upcoming work on the railways in Liverpool.

Is there going to be increased running time included in the timetable for the extra traffic that is expected in the mersey tunnels.

At this rate the outside lane's of the Mersey Tunnel may as well be marked as Bus Lanes during daylight hours.

RE: Stagecoach Chester & Wirral
Buses cant go in the outside lanes due to the height. The inside lanes could be bus lanes though yes. The amendment to the X8 is an additional stop at Allport Road.
