Looks like the units being used worked the Oxford Road-Lime Street services on the evening of the 24th and remained at Lime Street, presumably to avoid opening the signal boxes on the Allerton route just for an ECS? |

Mind you, this pre-dated 331s so might no longer be needed. A sign of staff shortages was Thursday 23rd when the 08.00 and 09.00 at Mauldeth Road to Liverpool Lime Street were both cancelled. |
