Just heard on the radio that gale force winds up to 70mph in some places along with rain hail and thunder are expected today.
The Ellesmere Port line on Merseyrail was the only casualty on the Merseyrail network , a large tree branch fell across the Liverpool bound track between Little Sutton and Hooton .
Bright sunshine with a howling gale here in east Cheshire. Strange combination

A replacement bus service was running on the Liverpool Central-Hunts Cross line yesterday evening due to safety checks being undertaken at Cressington.

Sounds like this week will bring all the seasons out in one go .

Rain , Hail , Sleet , Snow and Wind are all in the forecast in some shape form or description.
Anyone know if this snow on the wirral is going to stick over night and how bad is it in other areas?
Snow is sticking at the moment , so could be very interesting tommorrow morning
It's not that heavy so melting now it seems
Snow has stopped and melting would have been nice if it did stick ah well
