It appears the complaints from Hull has been listened to as the Manchester-Hull will now only call at Dewsbury and Batley between Huddersfield and Leeds, rather than at 4 stations as originally proposed. As a consequence the Piccadilly-Leeds only service will be an all-stops between Huddersfield and Leeds. However, there will still be 3 extra calls on the Hull service - Mossley, Slaithwaite and Batley, which will increase the journey time by 6 minutes.

Surprising the Newcastle-Airport is timetabled to take 30 minutes from Huddersfield to Victoria express - I thought going in to Victoria was supposed to be quicker than going via Guide Bridge, not slower!

It doesn't help that the remodelled layout at Stalybridge made Guide Bridge the main line.

There will need to be some doubling up both between Manchester and Leeds and between Manchester and Sheffield, otherwise passengers will get left behind at peak times.

Just been looking at that - the 07.38 Hull-Piccadilly seems to split for the 09.47 back and the 10.17 to Leeds, while the one(s) off the 08.53 from Leeds retire to Ardwick, coming off again for the 16.47, the corresponding inward service doing the 17.17 instead.

May 2018 timetable on OTT also confirms TPE services between Manchester Airport and Scotland will have pick up and set down restrictions at Bolton.

Just looking at Open Train Times, I've noticed that the Liverpool - Newcastle service is calling additionally at Lea Green in the evenings from roughly around 20.00 onwards.

Well presumably anyone with a Bolton ticket risks being excessed to Preston.

Anyone boarding at Manchester hoping to alight at Bolton might come unstuck if for some reason the service diverts via Chat Moss!

On Customer Information Screens prior to Bolton it will not appear as a calling point going North.

On Customer Information Screens it may appear as an arrival , but departure screens will not show the train.
