Somebody needs to get on the phone and offer them to LM to cover the Watford accident sets.

The livery that Northern uses for these trains , when you see that interim Thameslink livery is very dour indeed.
You have to think that if you have anymore class319's in LM they would need to be on captive diagrams that keep them around one of there depots , they aint going to to train a lot of staff on a unit that is not standard to the fleet .

All that has been done to 319218 and 219 is that they have had the 3rd rail shoe gear removed, other than that they are still in Thameslink condition, they will at least need the door control mods the other units up here have had before they enter service.

Possibly only sent to Allerton for storage. Do not know why 319218 has arrived though as it is not one of the eight allocated for transfer to Northern.

All time rail mileage travelled 327264 miles

319218+319219 are just being used as donor units to keep the existing Allerton based 319s running hence the fact they have come to Allerton in the unrefurbished state they have

Are they to be stripped of useable parts then scrapped?

Don't know about the scrapping part but yes they are being stripped of useable parts for now

RE: Northern (Arriva Rail North)
Only 319219 has had any parts taken off for the time being. My gut instinct is that this is very much temporary as they have both had the upgrades needed to make them fully compliant for the new accessibility regs that come in 2019-20.

Don't see them doing that then scrapping them in 2016!

There was a list on another forum that quoted 12 units for Northern, which included 218 and 219.
